Alexandria's history is America's history. Our great first president, George Washington, settled in this area when he was two years old. Washington recruited his first soldiers in Alexandria and drilled them in Market Square. Will Alexandria's birthday fireworks be a celebration of 275 years of history? The City is determined to purge the accomplishments of its famous sons - G. Washington, Robert E. Lee, and anyone who slept on the wrong side of the street during the Civil War.
Instead of planning for Alexandria's 275th birthday, the all-Democrat City Council passed a resolution "Regarding City Policies Related to the Recent Supreme Court Overturning of the Roe v. Wade Ruling. On April 17, 2023, they unanimously approved a zoning amendment making it easier for abortion providers a/k/a butchers to open in the city. From their 'no holds barred' opinions on abortion to jeopardizing the safety of everyone - the citizens, their children, and tourists, the Democrats in Alexandria have left their indelible mark on the 275th anniversary.
Why are the straight folks on the Alexandria City Council obsessed with Gay 'Pride?'
Breaking news: Alexandria City has taken a bold stance in integrating LGBTQ+ tourism into its story. You can call them a trailblazer of the kinky type. In June 2024, Alexandria hosted the 7th Annual LGBTQ+ ‘PRIDE’ fair leaving residents and visitors puzzled on why the City Council was not focused on its 275th birthday. It also hosted a Bilingual English/Spanish Drag Queen book show – for ages 3 to 8 where tastelessness and indecency know no boundaries. Verses spilled like rainbows and Molly -- celebrating glory holes and monkeypox at ‘Pride’ Poetry readings. The library’s Book Clubs were inclusive of kids to senior citizens featuring romance novels and the pseudo-p0rn “Gender Queer” book. At Cross Stitch Meetups, each stitch whispered, “We’re all part of this insane religion.” While gay teens adorned blooms with ‘pride’ at Flower Decorating, the majority-minority population of kids was isolated due to their religious and socio-economic backgrounds. Alexandria listened to a George Mason University professor indoctrinate the crowd about ‘trans’ kids.
What would a funky month be without gay movie screenings? Because who could overlook homosexuals’ influence in art and film?
Sadly, this list was only for the events the Alexandria City Library paid for and sponsored.
Once Upon a Time…Alexandria, the storied city of cobblestone streets and whispered secrets, stood at a crossroads. The ghosts of George Washington and the Founding Fathers lingered, watching as the circus tent unfurled. Now, Alexandria had ‘Gay’ Happy Hours, a drunken Bisexual Bar Crawl, another Drag Brunch with more booze, and a rogue Task Force that transformed its streets into ideological graffiti on King Street.
Instead of taking care of critical infrastructure, the City painted ‘Pride’ flags with transgender symbols on two crosswalks on the historical and previously beautiful King Street. Behind closed doors, the Task Force convened. No Vote. No Input. Their mission? Not infrastructure, not potholes, definitely not to abolish parking meters, but the very soul of Alexandria. They whispered about crosswalks, symbols, and their disrespectful and bold change. Just a permanent explosion of color to force their ideology down our throats pisses off tourists and residents alike! The crowd gasped, booed, and wondered: “Is this our new normal?”
"It is impossible to govern the world without God. It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the Providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits and humbly implore his protection and favor." ~ George Washington
Corrupt and inept jackasses compose the Alexandria City Council. It has been this way for decades. Since 2017, the FBI investigated our ex-mayor, William Euille, for accepting $260,000 from a major developer, Jay Hoffman. Hoffman turned Eisenhower Ave into a soulless Crystal City with zero charm and *zero* affordable housing that the liberals crow about so much. Another ex-mayor and ex-Congressman, Jim Moran, assaulted an 8-year-old black kid who admired his car and apparently, Jim liked to knock his former wife around.
The current City Council clowns are flaming progressives and liberal hags who are dedicated to bending over to "bike bros" with useless and expensive bike lanes while ignoring violence in the schools that frequently spills over to the community. OD much, Titans? Stab much, Titans?
Residents are always disappointed and dissatisfied with the City Council because of crime, parking, and school safety are ignored, even laughed at. The City has steadily raises taxes in new and oppressive ways - bag tax, meals tax (11% tot.), lodging tax - hotel and Airbnb (9.5% + $1.25 per day), stormwater tax (it doubled in 2021 (!) and was only levied due to the Dem's mismanagement for a century), and the proposed anti-Business Improvement District (BID). Meanwhile, the city loves to virtue signal by flying obscure flags over the historic Market Square more often than the Stars and Stripes.
By now, you are wondering, "Where are the fireworks going to be on Saturday, July 13th?" The best viewing places are near the Chart House restaurant and Torpedo Factory [yet, another place not highlighted in Alexandria's 275th Birthday celebration.].
Or, you could always walk down to Ford's Landing past Fitzgerald Square Park. Of course, Democrat Senator Mark Warner lives in a multimillion-dollar townhome a stone's throw from the Potomac River. He is not exactly a man of integrity. Warner was part of the cabal in the Russia! Russia! fiction. Now, his party wants to boot him for trying to push Stumbling Joe Biden out. More fireworks in Alexandria!
It is also a stone's throw from lying Beyer, the 8th District Democrat Congressman's mansion. Don Beyer made his money the old-fashioned way -- daddy. Don Beyer constantly beats the war drum for Ukraine and cries about Orangeman Trump. Unlike some Virginia Democrats, DJT did not buy his presidency. But, Don Beyer 'worked' his way from supplying the Falls Church City Volvos to its police department to its mayor back in 1984 to a becoming a U.S. Congressman. It must be sweet to be an ambassador to Sweden and Switzerland with his daddy's money and a lifelong business with Sweden's #1 carmaker, Volvo. Got emoluments? Got graft?
Alexandria has always been a haunt for spies and Don Beyer gave his house key to one. Allegedly. "House Democratic aide fired for allegedly working with Chinese Embassy." Great job, Donny boy! Don Beyer shared his dogs and house with a suspected spy, Barbara Jenell Hamlett and Beyer had no idea. Love you long time, Don Don Beyer!?
While you pay $4 an hour to park until 1:00 a.m. to watch the fireworks, Mark Warner is probably staging a cooky coup and Beyer crying about Donald Trump's bump. The nearby hill at Windmill Park is also a great place to watch Alexandria's fireworks. This anniversary only happens every 275 years!
